Call forwarding guide

Send the calls you miss to your AI receptionist

Your number stays yours and your team answers it exactly as they do today. You just ask your phone provider to pass on the calls nobody picks up — busy, no answer, or phone off — and your AI receptionist catches them. Takes about a minute, and there's no porting.

Find this on your dashboard, or in the email we sent when you went live.

How it works

Your phone rings exactly as it does today. Your provider only hands a call to VroomCalls when nobody picks up.

Step-by-step

Set it up on Verizon

Verizon calls this "Call Forwarding No Answer/Busy". It's included on every plan and there's nothing to switch on in your account first.

  1. From the phone you want to forward, dial the code below followed straight by your VroomCalls number — no spaces, no pause.
  2. Press call. You'll hear a short confirmation tone, then the call ends on its own.
Forward the calls you don't answer
*71YOUR VROOMCALLS NUMBER

Covers both a busy line and an unanswered call.

  1. Test it: from another phone, call your own number and let it ring out without answering. Your AI receptionist should pick up.

That's you set up. There's nothing to change on your side from here — your team keeps answering as usual, and anything they miss now reaches your AI receptionist.

How to turn forwarding off

*73

*71 forwards only the calls you don't answer. If you'd rather send every call straight to your AI receptionist, use *72YOUR VROOMCALLS NUMBER instead.

These codes work for most plans, but providers occasionally change them and some plans differ. If a code doesn't work, search your provider's help center for “conditional call forwarding” or call their support line. Standard call-forwarding rates may apply.
